Sycamore bowl for my mom’s birthday. I originally started a cherry bowl, but I made the mistake of trying to clean up the outside AFTER I had finished turning the inside. For you non-woodturners out there, there’s a reason you turn the outside of the bowl and then turn the inside. I tried cleaning up the outside, got a tool catch, and a big chunk of cherry came off! So I made a bowl out of sycamore instead. Finish is water-based acrylic, satin finish.
