I’ve uploaded pics of my most recent woodworking project, a saved staved vessel. It was the project for a woodturning class Santina got me for my birthday. While working on the inside I kind of moved the tool straight when I should have been moving it at an angle. As a result I went through the side of the vessel–and on a lathe that means a cut all the way around! For a while it looked like I’d have a lampshade and a coaster! Fortunately the instructor, Steve Pruitt, is very skilled and quite ingenious, and came up with a plan for saving the vessel. Yay Steve! The results can be found here, though one pic is shown below.
